Our current seedling and transplant availability for Spring 2023 is published below. The survivability drops 50% when the trees are planted after your trees’ buds have begun to swell and the tiny root hairs have started growing. It is necessary to get your dormant trees into the ground at your location as soon as possible. For the Spring 2023 season, bareroot trees will be ready to be picked up sometime between Saturday, April 15th, 2023 and Saturday, May 13th, 2023 – again, all dependent on the day that the frost is out of the ground in the transplant beds. Our bareroot transplants are only dug when they are in full dormancy (sleeping). Over the past 10+ years, we began digging bareroot transplants as early as April 15th and as late as May 13th. Bareroot stock is dug immediately after the frost is completely out of the ground and we are able to safely dig and remove all roots for transplant packaging. If your schedule does not allow this flexibility, please consider purchasing potted trees. Please be prepared to be available to pick up your bareroot trees as soon as you are contacted in the spring that they have been dug (specific pick up dates are not offered). VERY IMPORTANT!! PLEASE READ: Before placing an order for bareroot stock, please consider the following: Please check back in January 2024 for Spring 2024 availability. ![]() If you have any questions, please fill out the Contact Form located at the bottom of this page.
